If you’re an Amazon customer on an Android phone, there’s a good chance you’re already feeling a little bit anxious about the future. The company is planning to discontinue its Kindle app on Android devices in 2020, and it’s not clear what will happen to your books, movies, and other Amazon content if you don’t have a Kindle account. There are a few ways to sign out of Amazon on Android phones:

  1. Go to the Amazon website and sign in with your account information. If you don’t have an account yet, create one now. Once you’ve signed in, click on the “Manage Your Account” link at the top of the page. This will take you to a page where you can choose whether or not to continue using your Kindle account after 2020. If you decide not to keep using your account after 2020, be sure to click on the “Delete Account” button at the bottom of this page before signing out of Amazon for good.
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of your screen and select “Settings.” This will take you to a page where you can set up reminders for when your device needs new firmware or software updates. You can also set up timeouts for when your device needs new firmware or software updates so that it doesn’t run out of battery life too quickly. If all else fails, just uninstall Amazon’s Kindle app from your Android phone and start using another book reader or e-reader instead!
